Built in 1860, The Beehive is a cosy country pub complete with exposed flint walls, brick floors, curious objects and art adorning the series of intimate dining rooms. Outside is a small alfresco garden complete with tables and parasols.
The Beehive welcomes children but don’t expect a separate “children’s” menu as Gary and Di believe that children should be able to have whatever their parents can and willingly offer half portions of most dishes off the menu.
Expect to see Gary and Di’s adored dog Skye who feels perfectly at home gently greeting customers or snoozing in a corner.
The Beehive can get really busy so if you can, phone in advance whenever possible, to guarantee a table. If you don’t have time to make a booking do please just turn up as we try never to turn anyone away - as long as you don’t mind having a drink at the bar until a table becomes free.
Horringer is a pretty Suffolk village home to Ickworth Park, 1800 acres of wonderful parkland, which was the home of Earl Bishop of Bristol, but is now owned by the National Trust. It is a perfect place to walk up an appetite before lunch.
